Wondering how to prepare for your appointment before you even arrive? We have an easy way you can send your information to us, easily and confidentially. If you are a new patient, you will receive a "Welcome!" text message through our patient communication platform Klara. Within this text message, you can upload photos of your ID card and insurance card, and you can sign our new patient forms. We thank you for streamlining your visit and maximizing your valuable face time with your doctor!

We want to make the process as seamless and comfortable for you as possible. To accommodate your needs, we accept Medicare, Aetna PPO, and Blue Cross PPO insurance plans. If you prefer to pay out-of-pocket, we also provide self-pay as an option. Regardless of the payment method, we are committed to being transparent and fair about our pricing. During Your Visit:
Your appointment is designed to be as seamless and comfortable as possible. Parking is convenient, with metered street parking as well as easy access to an underground structure on Beverly Drive, and elevators are available to ensure accessibility to our office. Upon arrival, our friendly front desk team will welcome you and help prepare you for your visit. Your doctor will personally greet you and guide you through each step of the process, often performing all evaluations and procedures to ensure continuity of care. Expect thorough explanations at every stage, as Dr. Sacks and Dr. Nuyen prioritize clear communication to address your questions and goals. If your care requires additional expertise, they work closely with an exceptional network of trustworthy subspecialists to ensure that you receive the best outcome.
KLARA
We use Klara, a secure HIPAA-compliant platform that allows our patients to communicate directly with our doctors and staff. Klara streamlines our communication with you - you can send messages, files, and images through Klara. There is no need to wait on hold and no questioning if your message was ever received. You do not need to worry about having to scan or fax a document to us, as you can simply send it over Klara. Many things you would normally need a phone call for can be done by simply sending a message, saving you a significant amount of time. You can also send messages regarding appointments, prescriptions, and any other questions you may have. You can use Klara through your texting app on your phone or computer/mobile browser! All conversations through Klara are encrypted and private.

I woke up one morning and had a hard time seeing. I was very scared. I called a lot of ophthalmologists and they couldn't see me for weeks. Then I called Dr. Nuyen. She squeezed me in the same day and examined my eyes and told me I needed surgery. She was so kind and so nice. She did my surgery 2 weeks from that day.
