Dr. Robert Sacks is a board-certified ophthalmologist who received his Masters of Science and Medical School Degree at UCLA. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Northwestern University in Chicago. He has been in practice since 1991 in the Beverly Hills/Century City community of Los Angeles providing comprehensive ophthalmology care to his patients with an emphasis on cataract and refractive surgery. He provides full service care to his patients on a personal level. He has been Clinical Chief of Ophthalmology at Cedars Sinai Medical Center where he has been on staff since 1991. He has also been Chief of Staff and Chairman of Ophthalmology at Midway/Olympia Medical Center. He served as Medical Director at LaPeer Surgery Center.
Dr. Sacks discusses all the options available for cataract surgery and the newest advanced technology intraocular lens implants available. He performs all laser LASIK using a Femtosecond Laser and the WaveLight Allegretto Laser System to correct myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism.
Dr. Sacks is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Board of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, California Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and Los Angeles Society of Ophthalmology.

Hello! I am a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist, and I’ve spent my career helping patients achieve their best eye health and vision right here in Los Angeles. Born and raised in Southern California, I am the daughter of immigrants who gave their all to provide their children with vast opportunities. Their values of perseverance, compassion, and commitment inspire me every day and shape the care I provide to my patients.
Los Angeles is more than just the place where I have practiced for my whole career - it’s my home. I love exploring its neighborhoods - eating, shopping, and walking through its many communities. As a mother to a young child and two playful cats, I understand what it means to listen to and to walk alongside those I care about - including my patients. Motherhood has only deepened my empathy and sharpened my commitment to nurturing relationships and meeting each patient where they are.
When I’m not at work, I love working with my hands - whether it is tinkering with new recipes, crocheting, or creating ceramic pieces. These interests give me the same sense of focus and creativity I bring to surgery and patient care. Sustainability is also close to my heart, and I believe that caring for people and caring for the planet go hand in hand.
